Regional Sales Director (m/f/d) OEM Business
The Regional Sales Director (m/f/d) OEM Business will lead the sales strategy and execution for the OEM market across the DACH and Eastern European region within Xylem's AW segment. This role involves managing relationships with OEM customers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable components that meet technical and operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, engineering, and customer relationship management within the water technology sector. This position requires a deep understanding of the OEM market dynamics in the water technology segment, including Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and Configure-to-Order (CTO) processes, to provide tailored solutions that seamlessly integrate into customers' manufacturing processes. Key responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and support. Internal stakeholders span across Product Management, R&D, Production, Quality, Finance, Master Planning and Logistics, Sales, Aftermarket & Service, Marketing, AEs, Legal, and other segments in the EU.
Location: Langenhagen or Großostheim in Germany or Stockerau in Austria, with a hybrid setup and travel across the assigned region.
Aufgaben
1. Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for the OEM Business within the Xylem AW segment, focusing on growth and market penetration.
2. Manage relationships with key OEM industry customers, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.
3. Provide tailored support and develop complex solutions for strategic customers, including technical support and guidance.
4. Prioritize A Customers (strategic accounts), ensuring precision and customization.
5. Collaborate with internal teams such as engineering, production, and quality assurance to meet customer needs and drive growth.
6. Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
7. Drive team rhythm and governance, collecting weekly information on opportunities, risks, and figures.
8. Focus on joining customers’ approved vendor lists and competitive bids.
9. Coordinate with marketing, AED, customer support, and pricing teams to meet customer needs and grow the business.
10. Develop growth strategies, identify and map business strengths and customer needs.
11. Manage and retain existing client relationships and expand the client base.
12. Write business proposals and negotiate with stakeholders.
13. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and stay industry-informed.
14. Report on industry trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
15. Lead and mentor the OEM sales team (9 members), setting goals and KPIs, and fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
16. Develop and implement training programs to keep the team updated on trends and strategies.
Qualifikation
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
2. 15+ years of experience in direct OEM sales.
3. Fluent in German and English; other European languages are a plus.
4. Deep understanding of industrial and OEM markets in water technology.
5. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
6. Proven success in developing and executing sales strategies, managing large accounts, and navigating complex sales cycles.
7. Experience with ETO and CTO processes.
8. Willingness and ability to travel extensively across DACH and Eastern European countries.
9. Proficient in planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and project management.

Minimum salary: 8,000€/month gross, with potential overpayment depending on qualifications, plus bonuses and a company car.
