Custom Air Queensland is an established business 33 years strong, specialising in Design, Manufacture, Supply & Installation of Custom, Sleeper Cab Air Conditioning Systems & Customised Sleeper Cabin Fit outs. Our Queensland Fit Out facility is based in Wacol Brisbane.
We have several divisions that make up our company which cover Design, Metal Fabrication, Assembly, Painting, Installation & Upholstery.
Due to the continued growth of our Brisbane facility, we currently have an opportunity for a Motivated & Suitably Experienced–Workshop Supervisor to join our Wacol workshop team with any of the below preferred qualifications and attributes.
This role suits a leader who takes pride in a smooth-running workshop, enjoys mentoring technicians, and thrives on delivering high-quality work –a self-motivated, responsible person with excellent trade qualities & Communication skills who is able to work unsupervised and as a part of a team, reporting direct to the General Manager.
This person will on a daily basis, manage a busy, diverse heavy vehicle Air Conditioning workshop, while staying hands-on with a variety of Brands & Models of Heavy Vehicles, coordinating & supervising the Installation / repairs of our Australian Made Diesel Powered Air Conditioning systems & Sleeper cabin customised fitouts.
To be successful, You will possess:
* Previous Experience in a similar role or competitor preferred
* Previous Fitter / Mechanic / Auto electrical or similar experience.
* Workshop leadership experience, mentoring, and team management
* Ability to Drive performance, team development, and operational excellence
* Ability to Allocate jobs and manage daily workflow for efficiency and output
* Solid understanding of WH&S and compliance standards
* Sign off on quality control documentation
* Work with management to achieve business KPIs and targets
* Ensuring that all services and repairs conform to Company and Manufacturer standards.
* Maintaining technicians are accountable for quality of work
* Oversee vehicle repair, procedures and warranty claims
* Adheringto checklists and strict quality control standards
* Excellent communication – both written and verbal – with a strong customer service focus
* A collaborative approach with internal departments like Spare Parts and Admin
* Display strong problem solving and decision making skills
* Positive culture builder with high standards and follow-through
* Ability to work Un-supervised & problem solve
* Be clean & well presented
* Be highly motivated, willing to learn and advance yourself.
This person will need to have a current Australian Car Drivers License & a HR Truck license prefered. Manual Car licence preferred
