About the opportunity
RSPCA South Australia is seeking an experienced Commercial Operations Manager to join our team and provide vision and leadership across the Commercial Business Unit, leading the development and implementation of astute financial and operational plans. This role works closely with the Head of Commercial and provides direct leadership to our Op Shop Area Managers and Op Shop Store Managers and assists with the development and implementation of the Op Shop growth strategy.
We genuinely believe that work life balance is important and as such are able to offer this role as a full-time role working Monday through Friday or a compressed fortnight working 9 days per fortnight or part time at 0.9 or 0.8 full time equivalent.
Responsibilities
* Manage, lead, develop and provide guidance to the Area Managers and Store Managers to ensure consistency across the Op Shop network.
* Develop and deliver commercial strategic business development plans for the Op Shop portfolio.
* Oversee stock control and loss prevention, warehousing, estate donations including plans on increasing stock levels and improving supply chain management.
* Work closely with the Head of Commercial to analyse budgets, reports, and trends, providing recommendations to strategically enhance operational performance and business opportunities.
About you
You as our successful candidate will have previous experience managing teams across a multidisciplinary structure with previous experience in managing projects from the planning stage through until site opening and completion. You will be energetic and tenacious in the achievement of goals, with the drive to take initiative and drive to exceed goals and targets. You will have excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail, ensuring that work produced is accurate and consistently meets quality standards. You will have a strong sense of initiative encompassing excellent time management and organisational skills and a flexible attitude and the ability to ensure high priority to customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a current National Police Clearance within the last 3 months, have a current class c drivers licence and be able to successfully complete background checks. These checks may include reference checks, Australian work rights and any additional checks dependant on the role.
