Your impact – why this role matters
As an Internal Auditor in the Group Internal Audit team at Mondi, you will work in a young, ambitious and dynamic team reporting to the Head of Group Internal Audit. Your focus will be on conducting audit engagements that are part of the Group Internal Audit plan, including audits in locations around the world, including Head Offices. You will be based in Vienna and travel up to 35 % of the time.
Your mission
Prepare audit work programs and plans based on a risk‑based approach
Conduct interviews, test and evaluate business documents as part of audit execution
Evaluate and assess risks of examined internal controls in the areas audited
Prepare formal written reports and presentations in English
Present audit conclusions and recommendations to senior management
Prepare consolidated summary reports for Mondi Group reporting
Review and support others to ensure audits are completed to required quality levels
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Operating Companies, Business Management, and within Internal Audit
Develop methodologies and tools for Group Internal Audit to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Your profile
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, preferably within a multinational corporation (MNC) and/or a Big Four consulting or audit firm
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; proficiency in German is a significant advantage
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively and build relationships across all levels of the organisation
Advanced analytical skills, including experience with data analytics, business intelligence tools, and the review of large complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities

Contract: unlimited
Working hours: full‑time, 38 hours/week (all‑in contract)
Compensation: minimum € 50,000 gross per year, with willingness to over‑pay depending on experience and qualifications
