Our client based in Epping who is a Caravan Manufacturer, are seeking to appoint a Production Manager on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the caravan industry, will be someone who is business minded, customer focused and driven for excellence. You will be a people person, extremely organised and a problem solver. Lastly, this position is suitable for candidates who thrive in a fast‑paced environment, where every day produced different challenges and expectations.
Key Skills
Strong manufacturing background — understands end‑to‑end production, workflow optimisation, and quality control.
Highly organised with excellent time‑management; able to juggle competing priorities without losing detail.
Confident decision‑maker who can stay calm and effective under high‑pressure, fast‑moving conditions.
Strong leadership skills: able to direct teams, manage conflict, and maintain a productive floor culture.
Excellent communication across all levels — from hands‑on production staff to senior management.
Solid understanding of safety standards, compliance requirements, and risk management within manufacturing environments.
Competent with production planning tools, scheduling software, and basic reporting/metrics.
Preferred Experience
Several years in a Production Manager or Senior Supervisor role within a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Demonstrated success in scaling production, improving output efficiency, or reducing operational bottlenecks.
Experience establishing or upgrading production systems, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
Background working with caravans, RV manufacturing, automotive assembly, or similar industries (highly desirable but not essential).
Hands‑on involvement in hiring, training, and developing production teams.
Experience navigating tight deadlines, changing priorities, and unexpected operational challenges.
