We are currently seeking a Financial Specialist. The key responsibilities are as follows:
* Manage the accounting operations of the subsidiary to ensure compliance with Austrian "Uniform Accounting Act" (UGB) and support adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Assist in preparing and submitting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to group headquarters. Liaise with external audit firms for annual and tax audits under supervision.
* Ensure accurate calculation and timely filing of key Austrian taxes (VAT/USt., Payroll Tax/Lohnsteuer). Maintain tax files and respond to inquiries from tax authorities to support tax risk management. Monitor changes in tax laws (e.g., EU digital tax reform) and update internal documentation accordingly.
* Support the maintenance of the local SAP finance module (FI) to ensure data consistency between the system and accounting records. Collaborate with other departments on routine financial processes.
* Assist external payroll providers with employee payroll data and basic calculations to ensure compliance with Austrian social security (SV) and labor laws. Maintain relevant administrative records.
* Perform other tasks assigned by the company and superiors.
Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in finance or accounting.
* Over 3 years of comprehensive financial experience in small to medium-sized enterprises. Familiarity with Austrian and EU fiscal and tax regulations is required. Candidates with Austrian-registered accountant qualifications or equivalent are preferred.
* Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
* Proficiency in Excel and SAP financial software (such as SAP FI module) is preferred.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
* Strong logical skills, sensitivity to numbers, and proficiency in data analysis to support business decisions. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and compliance.
