We currently have an exciting opportunity for Site Officer Apprentices/Estates Apprentices to join our fantastic central team at Prospere Learning Trust.
Are you practical, reliable and keen to learn? This is an exciting opportunity to begin a career in facilities and estates services within a school environment. We are recruiting Site Officer Apprentices/Estates Apprentices to join our Estates team across a number of school sites.
This role offers hands-on experience, structured training and the chance to complete a Facilities Services Operative (Level 2) apprenticeship, supporting the day-to-day operation of our schools and helping to keep them safe, secure and welcoming.
You will report to the Site Manager and work closely with the Estates team, alongside school and Trust staff, students, governors, trustees, parents, contractors and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the smooth running of site services including security, maintenance and reception
* Securing the site and assisting with emergency and evacuation procedures
* Setting up rooms and supporting events such as open evenings and school activities
* Carrying out minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks
* Assisting with the maintenance of external areas and grounds
* Dealing with enquiries from staff, contractors and members of the public
* Liaising with and directing external contractors and suppliers
* Organising and taking delivery of stock
* Reading energy meters and assisting with monitoring heating and ventilation systems
* Supporting health & safety compliance and planned maintenance
* Maintaining accurate records, information and data
* Acting as a responsible key holder
* Joining the first aid rota following appropriate training
* Completing all required training to successfully achieve the apprenticeship standard
