Job Description:
We are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer with a strong background in Model-Based Development (MBD) and MATLAB/Simulink. The successful candidate will join our digital power applications team for Digital Signal Controllers (dsPICs) as a senior member of the team. You will be working with a global team to help define, develop and test Model-Based solutions for various digital power applications such as PFC, DC-DC, andDC-AC.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct system modelling, simulations, analysis and helps translate solution to hardware
2. Functional testing using hardware-in-the-loop, firmware-in-the-loop
3. Implements solution for automated code generation, unit testing, and verification
4. Develop/review/test peripheral models for specific microcontrollers
5. Enhances modelling capabilities, processes, and tools for expediting release of applications
6. Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and translate into system models
Requirements/Qualifications:
7. Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Master’s degree with 6+ years.
8. Expert knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink, Coder, Simscape, etc.
9. Fundamental knowledge of power converter topologies and control theory
10. Understanding of Microcontroller Architecture, C/ASM Programming Experience.
11. Basic understanding of ASPICE, MISRA standards
12. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
13. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical materials effectively and produce good quality engineering documentation.
