Samsung SDI Battery Systems is a global technology leader in e-mobility. Together with our customers in the automotive industry, we develop and test innovative battery systems for automotive applications based on state-of-the-art lithium ion technology.
The technology center of Samsung SDI Battery Systems is located in Kalsdorf, Austria, close to Graz. Samsung SDI is a full-service supplier for lithium ion cells, battery modules and battery packs for all electric vehicles as well as all types of hybrid vehicles.
Your core responsibilities are:
* Explore, innovate, and validate cutting-edge technologies that shape the future of mobility
* Develop innovative concepts for next-generation battery systems
* Perform 3D thermal simulation (FE/CFD) of cooling systems for automotive batteries
* Calculate gas release behavior of battery cells and its impact on the overall system
* Develop models for thermodynamic systems
What you need is:
* Completed technical degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, energy technology, physics)
* Experience in the thermal design of components
* Software skills for thermodynamic calculations (mostly in 3D), e.g. STAR-CCM+, Ansys Fluent, Matlab, Python
* Self-motivated, curious and driven by impact
* Strong communication and collaboration skills in interdisciplinary teams
* German language skills are a plus, but not mandatory
