Quality Manager (m/w/d)
Haag am Hausruck, Austria This is a unique opportunity to join Haag during a major transformation into a dedicated pet food manufacturing site. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in shaping quality and pet food safety standards, driving site conversion activities and influencing strategic business decisions as a member of the Site Leadership Team. Responsibilities
Responsibility for managing the Quality Management System (QMS) and Pet Food Safety system, ensuring compliance with FSSC22000, GMP+, and internal standards. Leading pet food transformation activities, including risk assessments, validations, cleaning validation, zoning, and segregation strategies. Chairing the HACCP team and continuously analyzing and updating food safety hazards arising from new product flows and raw materials. Responsibility for Quality within Management of Change and product transfer projects, ensuring safe and compliant implementation. Ensuring supplier and raw material quality through oversight of approval processes, monitoring, and management of pet food safety risks. Responsibility for non-conformance management, audits, CAPA, and customer complaints, as well as ensuring compliance readiness, developing quality culture and KPIs, and supporting site budget and investment activities. Qualifications
MSc/BSc in Food Science, Chemistry, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field. 5–10 years of experience in quality within food, feed, or pet food industries. Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of FSSC22000, GMP+ and HACCP systems. Experience in site transformation or brown‑field projects highly preferred. Strong competencies in quality and pet food safety systems and leading in complex and dynamic environments with an analytical and data‑driven approach.
