General Summary
Seeking a Senior R&D Engineer in Europe with a background in spatial audio processing (not rendering) and audio research. This role focuses on inventing and developing advanced features such as steerable multi-instance spatio-temporal filters (e.g., stereo or higher-order beamformers and nullformers). It also involves integrating camera-based object tracking with spatial audio capture for handsets, headsets, and smart glasses. The Senior R&D Engineer will collaborate closely with R&D leads in the US, India, Germany, and Austria.
Desired Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Audio/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 2+ years of experience in
Spatio-temporal filtering (beamforming, nullforming)
Source localization and tracking
Single- and multi-channel noise suppression and masking
ML-based cross-covariance estimation or mask estimation
MEMS microphone array calibration
Audio development for handsets, headsets, or smart speakers
Matlab, Python, and C
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Audio/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 3+ years of experience in the above areas as well as
MEMS voice accelerometers
Phased arrays
Earbuds, smart glasses
PyTorch, and Julia

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
