The Medical University of Vienna (MedUni Vienna) with more than 6.500 employees and about 8.500 students is one of the largest academic medical schools in the EU area. At the Department of Radiation Oncology of the MedUni Vienna and the University Hospital Vienna a Full Professorship Position for Radiation Oncology according to §98 university act 2002 is available, starting March 1, 2027 earliest. We offer permanent employment according to the Austrian Employees act. The successful applicant will be head of the Department of the Radiation Oncology.

Employment requirements:
* Graduation in medicine with a subject specific doctorateor an equivalent foreign university degree
* Qualification as a specialist for radiation therapy – radiation oncology or equivalent domestic or foreign authorization
* Outstanding scientific qualification in the field of radiation oncology, especially in the field of High-Precision Radiotherapy
* Profound clinical qualification in in the field of radiation oncology
* Successful and continuous acquisition of competitive third-party funds
* Leadership and management experience, including gender and diversity competence, and with qualification to manage a hospital department of the highest level of care
* Experience in interdisciplinary cooperation in clinic andresearch
* Educational and didactic qualification (evaluation results regarding teaching activities
* International workexperience
Specific Requirements
Expected from the applicant:
* Collaboration with the Professorship of Medical Radiation Physics and Oncotechnology to further develop research and innovation in precision radiation oncology ata hospital department of the highest level of care as well as with the Professorship of Molecular Radiobiology to further develop and expand the translational radiation oncology research program
* Expanding clinical and research collaborations with the particle therapy center MedAustron
* Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research in terms of promoting the research clusters described in the University`s development plan and participation in the Comprehensive Cancer Center
* Close cooperation with all clinical departments and divisions involved in oncology, including pediatric oncology
* Further development of the clinic as a national and international reference center for brachytherapy
* Representation of the subject area in the medical curriculum aimed at integrative and practice-oriented training as well as in international curricula in radiation oncology
* Leadership skills in accordance with the MedUni Vienna “Leadership Framework”
* Continuation and optimization of the clinical services and procedures in cooperation with other disciplines and clinical departments as well as the management of the University Hospital Vienna
* Commitment to quality orientation and willingness to continuously enhance personal management skills
