Country Risk Strategist (f/m/x)
Global Country Risk is the competence center for managing global political, economic, and industry trends, ESG risk, which evaluates country risk strategy for the entire banking group.

Position Details
* Type: Full-time (38.5h/week)
* Location: Vienna office (1030), with possible home office options
Your role at RBI
* Identify and analyze economic, geopolitical trends and their transmission to industry and country footprints with implications on RBI’s strategy
* Produce and present condensed, well-argued, and decision-enhancing analyses on countries
* Rate and manage RBI’s group appetite towards Sovereigns in emerging and developed markets
* Communicate and cooperate with stakeholders as a starting point in the risk decision-making process
* Participate in projects and data initiatives
Your core competencies
* High interest and curiosity in global macroeconomics, financial markets, industry assessment, and ESG from a country perspective
* Ability to articulate a clear vision of risk-relevant macroeconomic, political, and industry trends
* Strong analytical thinking and communication skills
* Independent, flexible self-starter and result-oriented team player
* University degree in economics (with a strong economics focus if business)
* Business-level command of English
* Data manipulation skills (e.g., scripting languages like R or Python); LLM knowledge is an advantage
* Some work experience in economic research or risk management in an international bank or institution
