ANDRITZ is looking for a senior and experienced sustainability professional to take on the role of Group Sustainability Director within Group Communications and Sustainability.
In this role, you will develop and drive ANDRITZ’s sustainability and ESG strategy in alignment with business objectives. You will work closely with senior leadership and collaborate across business areas and Group functions in a global matrix organization to ensure consistent implementation. You will lead the Group Sustainability Leadership Team, comprising Sustainability Managers or Directors appointed from the business areas, and provide clear direction, alignment, and governance across the sustainability agenda.
A key aspect of the role is to represent ANDRITZ’s sustainability approach towards external stakeholders, including investors and customers, and to ensure a clear and consistent sustainability narrative.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing the Group’s sustainability strategy and actively driving key initiatives and projects across the organization.
* Driving ESG target setting, roadmap implementation, and performance monitoring.
* Establishing sustainability governance and coordinating cross-functional collaboration.
* Leading the content of sustainability reporting process (CSRD) and ESG ratings.
* Supporting the integration of sustainability into business activities and value creation.
The role requires the ability to operate at a strategic level while driving execution through influence and acting as a credible spokesperson for sustainability.
We are looking for a candidate with:
* Extensive experience in sustainability management in an international environment.
* Proven track record in developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
* Deep understanding of sustainability across all the ESG domains, including stakeholder expectations and reputational risks.
* Strong leadership skills and experience working in a global matrix organization.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, investors, customers and other stakeholders.
The role is located in Helsinki, Graz, or Vienna, offering flexible hybrid working arrangements.
