Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to join our team in Austria as part of the Austrian Commercial Team at our Vienna office. You will work to bring cloud computing technologies to large enterprise customers across manufacturing, media, betting & gaming, retail and other verticals.
Responsibilities
* Own the technical relationship with customers, providing expert recommendations on solution design, migration strategies, security, and architecture best practices.
* Influence beyond customer interactions by acting as an internal advocate and driving continuous improvements to the AWS platform based on customer needs and feedback.
* Contribute to the AWS knowledge base by creating and sharing best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures.
* Educate and evangelize AWS technology through various channels to expand reach and influence in the industry.
* Apply a builder's mindset and startup mentality, moving fast, experimenting, and driving innovation, especially in emerging technologies like Generative AI and Agentic AI.

Basic Qualifications
* Background in Cloud Architecture, Solution Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Machine Learning, Generative AI or Data Engineering & Analytics
* Strong business acumen with experience engaging with both Business and IT decision makers to drive strategic initiatives
* Industry and domain experience at enterprise companies or consulting
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with business-fluent English
* A passion for technology and for learning
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with AWS technologies and cloud-native architectures
* Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
* Experience working in a customer-facing role
* Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other industry certifications
* Business-level German language skills is a plus
