.Net Engineer with AI Focus – Philips Dictation | Speech Processing Solutions
Are you an experienced .Net Engineer with a background in building AI features?
At Speech Processing Solutions, we develop speech‑recognition and management tools that help professionals in law, healthcare, and beyond work smarter and more efficiently. In this role you’ll join the team behind our flagship product, Philips SpeechLive, working closely with our AI & Innovation Lead to shape its next chapter by rolling out new AI‑powered features and ensuring intuitive, seamless user experiences.
What You’ll Do
* Design and deliver robust, efficient, and secure systems with knowledge of software architecture, micro‑services, REST APIs and test automation (unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests).
* Incorporate AI‑driven components and agentic architectures to enable adaptive and intelligent system behaviour.
* Apply prompt engineering techniques to refine model interactions and outputs; contribute to the development of intelligent agents and workflow automation powered by LLMs and Azure AI.
* Work closely with product managers and other engineers to translate requirements into high‑quality solutions in an agile development environment.
What You Bring
* Strong technical foundation with 4+ years of experience as a software engineer in .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Microsoft Azure.
* Proven experience integrating AI capabilities into .NET solutions using Azure AI Services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Speech to Text, Language Understanding).
* Experience deploying and monitoring AI‑enabled services in cloud environments.
* Experience with SQL databases (preferably Azure SQL or Microsoft SQL Server), including schema design, query optimisation, and data integrity principles; ability to design data models that support AI workflows, semantic search, and contextual retrieval.
* Solid system‑level knowledge, including IT infrastructure, DevOps (CI/CD deployment, network operations), and version control (Git).
* Strong collaborative and stakeholder‑management skills in cross‑functional, distributed teams; experience with SCRUM is preferred.
* Experience with AI‑assisted coding/prompt engineering using modern tools such as GitHub Copilot.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
* Curiosity and creativity with the ability to operate with ambiguity and conceptualise new solutions.
* Strategic mindset: evaluate when and why AI should be applied to align with business objectives.
