BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Queensland/Northern Territory

Beaver Technology Services (BTS) is a leading manufacturer and supplier of engineered height safety, fall protection and confined space solutions in Australia and New Zealand with its head office located in Sydney, NSW. BTS also exports products globally from our Sydney operation. Our suite of products can be found at www.btstech.com.au and includes AirStairs, AirHook trailers & cubes, davits and other associated height safety products and lifting equipment.


About the Role

Due to strong market growth, we are expanding our sales team and seeking a results driven individual to join us as Business Development Manager – Queensland/Northern Territory.

In this key role, you will work closely with the Sales Manager - Australia/New Zealand to drive topline, profitable sales revenue for BTS across the assigned market segments within Queensland & Northern Territory.

The position will be based in our Deception Bay branch with the role predominantly being on the road visiting customers with some tasks able to be performed at the office or home base so would suit candidates within the greater SEQld region (Brisbane/Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast). This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team in our Brisbane branch & warehouse during an exciting period of expansion and play a central role in shaping our presence in the region.


Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sales Manager ANZ, this role presents an exciting opportunity to play a key part in driving business growth and contributing to the company’s overall sales success. The Business Development Manager Qld/NT will be responsible for building strong relationships, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer service across both metropolitan and regional sales territories within the Queensland & Northern Territory markets.

* Managing the full sales cycle — from business development and prospecting to closing deals and providing ongoing customer support
* Conducting on-site sales calls, delivering compelling product presentations and demonstrations
* Building and maintaining strategic relationships within our existing customer base of distributors and end users
* Promoting and advocating for BTS product lines to both current and prospective customers
* Engaging in proactive business development activities and identifying new growth opportunitiesConducting regular market research and competitor analysis to inform sales strategies
* Providing consistent and insightful reporting on sales trends and activity within the Qld/NT marketplace
* Weekly sales activity & reports through our HubSpot CRM system
* Regional travel will be required


About You

The successful applicant will be a results driven sales professional with a passion for safety solutions and customer service. To thrive in this role, you will need to bring:

* 5+ years of experience in industrial product sales or a background in fall protection, height safety or confined space or lifting equipment or industrial PPE products being highly regarded
* Experience within the following sectors is also highly regarded - civil construction, mining, oil & gas, aviation, defence & manufacturing
* A proven track record of successfully developing new markets and applying a strategic, collaborative approach to account management and executing company business strategies
* Strong skills in delivering impactful presentations and product demonstrations
* A clear drive for results and achieving sales targets
* A strong customer focus is required, coupled with outstanding negotiation abilities
* High levels of resilience, professionalism, and credibility with clients, suppliers, and peers
* A team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams
* Experience in engineered height safety, fall protection and confined space solutions (highly advantageous)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook & CRM systems required
* Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory
