Product and Process Development
Develop aluminum electrolyte capacitors and supercapacitors, including product lines such as radial, SMD capacitors, and EDLCs for both non-automotive and automotive (according to IATF) specific requirements.
Specification and Testing
Specify production samples from prototyping to series production, set up, trigger, and assess appropriate tests in the quality department.
Change Management and Standardization
Participate in setting up change proposals and modifying production rules. Evaluate current materials and components, identifying potential for standardization in existing product lines.
Failure Analysis and Customer-Specific Products
Conduct failure analysis on products, processes, and materials. Develop products tailored to customer requirements ("specials") and non-standard capacitors based on existing products and lines.
Application Support and Competitive Analysis
Provide application support and design-in assistance. Analyze and technically evaluate competitors' products, benchmark against Vishay products.
Measurement and Analysis Techniques
Perform electrical, physical, and chemical measurements of capacitors, including non-standard electrical parameters. Utilize advanced analysis methods such as X-ray imaging, SEM, reflow soldering simulation, and long-term testing with acceleration factors like temperature, humidity, overvoltage, and current.
Manufacturing Support
Support manufacturing through troubleshooting and advanced product analysis exceeding standard procedures. Interface with the operations department regarding series production.
Materials Evaluation
Assess new materials, including electrode foils (anodes and cathodes; aluminum and carbon), separator materials (low impedance and high voltage), and electrolytes (low and high temperatures). Handle related approval processes administratively.
