Aufgaben
Job description:
As an FPGA Design Engineer, your main focus will be to design, develop, integrate, and test FPGA/SOC solutions for EGSTON's existing and next generation PHIL systems.
Your responsibilities:
1. FPGA/SOC Design and Development for Power Electronics.
2. Autonomous development of sophisticated working packages in VHDL / (System) Verilog for AMD (Xilinx) and/or Intel (Altera) devices.
3. Usage of High-Level Synthesis (Vivado HLS, Xilinx System Generator, MATLAB Simulink) to speed up development cycles.
4. Perform result-oriented analysis and debugging of newly developed packages as well as existing ones.
5. Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of the developed applications.
6. Close collaboration with software and hardware teams to ensure on-time and quality release of the developed applications.
7. Supporting industrialization and certification efforts for the newly developed products and the upgrades of the existing products.
8. Additional responsibilities include participating in the factory- and site acceptance testing of the non-standard and more complex customer systems as well as technical support for customer demos.
Anforderungsprofil
Required skills:
9. Proficiency in VHDL and/or (System) Verilog.
10. AMD (Xilinx) tool flow (Vitis, Vivado, XSDK)
11. Language:
English (required), German (preferred).
12. Knowledge about CI / CD pipelines
13. SCM (atlassin, gitlab, github)
14. C/C++ (for embedded systems)
Preferred skills:
15. Practical experience with Yocto
16. Practical experience with Intel (Altera) tool flow (Quartus)
17. Practical experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Xilinx System Generator
18. Practical experience with HIL systems
19. (Basic) knowledge of power electronics
20. (Basic) knowledge of electrical engineering
