Kitchen Attendant
William Angliss Institute is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Attendant to assist in the food production, preparation, cooking and presentation for functions held in the Conference Centre space and the areas associated within the Central Kitchen space.
Salary and Employment:
* Commencing salary $55,105 per annum plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading
* Full‑time and ongoing opportunity
Key duties and responsibilities:
* Coordinate and deliver function food requirements including special dietary requirements.
* Contribute to the development of new function menu items and presentation standards.
* Prepare order lists and job plans for daily requirements.
* Provide assistance for the Central Kitchen team.
* Work in retail areas during down times as required.
* Maintain stock levels and undertake monthly stocktake.
* Provide high quality customer service and experience.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria:
* Completion of trade certificate or year 12 and demonstrated relevant experience, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Have a current or willing to obtain a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate.
* Have a current or willing to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.
* Demonstrated awareness of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
* Previous experience in food preparation of menu items, current knowledge of food trends and food allergy controls.
* Be able to work within a team environment as well as independently.
* Demonstrated ability to provide high quality client service & customer service in a catering environment.
