Our client has a nice hotel located directly at the Festspielhaus, where the famous Bregenz Festival takes place every year. The Kongresshaus, the Kunsthaus, the Pfänder, the Casino, Mainau Island, the Wolford Shop - everything is there. Nestled between a magnificent mountain panorama and Lake Constance, the hotel has approximately 100 rooms, wellness, great restaurant and conference centre.
We are looking for a Hotel Manager, or Hotel General Manager,
who will be responsible for overseeing the successful operations of a lodging facility to ensure guest satisfaction and enhance the facility’s reputation among travelers.
The duties include hiring and training employees, managing budgets for items like cleaning supplies, appliances and furniture and engaging with guests to resolve issues with their rooms and more.
inspect
the grounds, public areas and guest rooms for appearance and cleanliness,
ensure
company standards
for housekeeping, decor and guest services are met,
answer guest questions
about hotel services and policies,
keep
track of the hotel’s financials,
interview, hire, train and terminate staff,
monitor staff performance, ensuring the hotel is running well and guests are happy,
coordinate front-office and back-office activities and resolve any problems,
set budgets and room rates,
allocate funds and approve expenditures for various departments,
be a “hands on” manager,
report to Regional Manager of the company.
university degree
in business, sales, or hospitality,
at least 5 years of experience
in a similar position – GM, Operation, Deputy manager of the hotel,
strong personal skills
with a proven track record of business success,
excellent communication and negotiation skills,
experience in luxury or premium segment is a plus,
very good leadership skills needed,
fluent in English, German is an advantage,
experience in the mountains hotel is big plus, in Europe is a must,
self-reliant, well-organized, and able to manage time effectively.
salary 65k€ a year
