The impact you'll make
As a Quality Engineer at Lam, you'll make an impact in ensuring manufacturing processes and products meet quality standards by designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance within the quality management systems (QMS). You design methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the accuracy of production processes and finished products. By analyzing production data and reports, you identify trends and work across functions to resolve technical, quality and production challenges. Your expertise will help develop excellence in product design and manufacturing supporting Lam's commitment to delivering high-quality and reliable products.
What you'll do
1. Owns quality management/tracking within Engineering and is the quality caseowner (QCO)
2. Actively monitors and analyses Engineering quality and resolves quality issuesvia systematic root cause analysis and corrective actions
3. Establishes measures to improve the Engineering output (drawings, BOMs,…) quality
4. Identifies systematic gaps/potentials on products, quality improvementcapabilities and the quality management system itself
5. Tracks all Engineering relevant KPIs (development milestones, feasibilityanalysis, technical modifications, problem reports, …)
6. Moderates and documents all Engineering relevant 8D reports
7. Drives Engineering quality related RCCAs
8. Tracks relevant NCIs and NCEs within Engineering
9. Collaborates in cross-functional quality reviews, dispositioning and RCCAreviews and takes part in development and implementation of qualitystandards, methods and procedures
10. Contributes to Engineering standards definition
11. Assures compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards(i.e. ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
12. Makes recommendations for corrective action necessary to ensure conformitywith quality requirements and to meet or exceed our quality objectives
Who we're looking for
13. Technical degree (Bachelor or Master) with experience in quality or degree inquality with technical experience
14. Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and SAP
15. Fundamental understanding and experience in quality management systems(QMS)
16. Experience in quality methods like 8D
17. Very good data analysis capabilities - from data mining to data analysis andconclusions
18. Fluent English (written/oral) is a must, German language skills arebeneficial
19. Very good presentation skills with ability to communicate cross-functionallyand with various levels of an organization
20. Ability to work in a team environment with aggressive deadlines andmultiple priorities
21. Demonstrates high flexibility and significant technical independence
22. Structured working style and high working accuracy also under pressure
23. Strongly developed sense of duty and quality
24. Openness to change/improvement
25. Quality certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt is a plus
Preferred qualifications
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) forEmployees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group F. Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
