The position We are seeking a motivated and results oriented (Associate) Principal Scientist to join our global Translational Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology team in Vienna. This position will strengthen our multi disciplinary team, focused on translational and biomarker related aspects of pre clinical drug development for patients with cancer. It offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of the development of novel cancer therapies, with a specific focus on immunotherapeutic agents. Tasks and responsibilities Lead an immunology lab that performs molecular characterization and immunoprofiling of mechanistic/disease relevant models and human derived sles with a strong focus on translational aspects in the field of immuno oncology Profile drug candidates to identify predictive and pharmacodynamic immune related biomarkers to support the development of immunotherapies in close collaboration with other teams and disciplines Lead the development and validation of the pre clinical biomarker strategy for immunotherapy agents and contribute to the validation and initial clinical application of biomarkers as a part of early clinical development teams, composed of experts from various clinical functions Establish and manage external collaborations with academic partners and CROs, including the scouting and evaluation of new technologies Assume responsibilities in a global department and for the supervision of laboratory scientists Requirements PhD or MD, with postdoctoral training and demonstrated experience in the field of immunology research, including a strong publication record; Experience in cancer immunotherapy research is preferred Ability to work in multi disciplinary teams, excellent team player Ability to work independently, plan, organize, troubleshoot, present work and to show team leadership in a matrix set up Excellent organization and communication skills Your Benefits Flexible working time models/home office depending on the position Additional off days (bridge days) for more leisure time Staff restaurant with a variety of lunch options for your daily well being Position specific training opportunities for your personal and professional growth Comprehensive health promotion, sustaining your health in the best possible wa
