Your Role
* PCB Assembly: Perform PCB assembly using manual SMD soldering as well as professional automated equipment including pick‑and‑place machines and reflow ovens.
* Process Optimization: Support the setup, programming, and optimisation of automated PCB assembly processes to ensure high efficiency.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough PCB testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues.
* Design Collaboration: Support the design and layout of PCBs using industry‑standard tools to meet engineering requirements.
* Automation Development: Develop and implement further automation solutions for laboratory processes to streamline operations.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of processes and results to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing.
Further Information
Type of employment: Temporary / min. 30 hours per week (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.).
Duration: min. 12 months.
This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full‑time), employment group B for bachelor students, employment group D for master students.
Your Profile
Qualifications and Skills to Help You Succeed
* Educational background: Currently studying in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar discipline.
* Electronics knowledge: Basic knowledge of electronics and PCB assembly principles.
* Soldering and assembly: First experience or strong interest in manual SMD soldering and automated assembly processes including pick‑and‑place, reflow soldering, and SMT.
* Design tools: Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Eagle, Cadence, or similar software.
* Automation interest: Genuine interest in automation and programming.
* Soft skills: Strong organizational and communication skills for clear information exchange and task management.
* Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Language skills: Fluent English; German language skills a plus.
