ProBuild Australia, established in 2005, has an outstanding reputation in the insurance property repair industry, specialising in domestic and commercial repairs and working alongside many of Australia’s largest insurers. Due to sustained growth, ProBuild Australia is seeking an experienced Building Supervisor to join our high-performing team. Following our recent relocation to our modern Somerton Park head office, this expansion has allowed our team to grow and further strengthen our claims management and service delivery capabilities.
About the role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing trades throughout the repair process. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of insurance building claims from initial allocation through to completion, combining your technical building knowledge with strong customer service, coordination and problem-solving skills.
You’ll work closely with our administration team, trades, and insurer partners to ensure each claim is accurately scoped, efficiently delivered and meets all quality and compliance standards.
This position is based on a 38-hour work week, with the opportunity to transition to permanent employment upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage property repairs, working closely with a variety of trades and suppliers.
Maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and clients, ensuring high standards of customer service.
Oversee daily operations and ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met onsite.
Coordinate with internal Case Managers to deliver comprehensive information and ensure repairs are scheduled efficiently.
Estimating property damage, and provide causation reports.
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in supervising, estimating or management role within the building industry.
Strong understanding of insurance repair procedures and project management is essential.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Capability to handle multiple projects at once while adhering to deadlines.
Skilled in report writing and creating scopes of work.
Valid driver’s license.
Professionally presented and empathetic, with the ability to effectively interact with homeowners experiencing challenges due to property damage.
Carpenter/Builder background (Preferrable)
