The position
Join our Innovation Unit community in Vienna and contribute to innovative drug discovery by ensuring compliant and safe operations. As one of our Compliance Managers within the Discovery Research Coordination team, you will act as a role model for integrity, collaborating with scientists and global partners to guarantee adherence to national and international regulations. This is a full-time permanent position in a dynamic, international research environment.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Manage compliance for human biospecimens, cell line licensing, genetic resources (Nagoya Protocol) and data protection
* Oversee training curricula and ensure adherence to safety regulations
* Support specialized research functions and maintain records retention compliance
* Collaborate with scientists and enabling functions (Legal, Sourcing, Contracting partners) to resolve compliance issues
* Organise and deliver compliance-related trainings and information sessions for the research community
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry or a related field
* Knowledge of drug discovery processes and regulatory frameworks is an advantage
* Ability to interpret contract language and apply compliance principles
* Strong organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail
* Fluency in English; basic knowledge of German; proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong networking skills

The minimum gross annual salary for this position is €53,830 per year (full‑time) according to the classification in the collective bargaining agreement for the chemical industry. Depending on professional experience and qualifications, we offer an overpayment.
