We are currently seeking a Core Component Designer (m/f/d) in the rotating electrical machines (REM) R&D department at our site in Weiz, on a full-time basis.
YOUR TASKS
Act as a key 3D CAD designer for core components of REM including generators, working closely within interdisciplinary R&D teams
Design, develop and optimize active parts (magnetic and electric field–relevant components), including salient poles, high voltage bar windings and stator/rotor cores based on engineering input from electromagnetic, insulation, mechanical and ventilation experts
Create precise geometry models to support advanced numerical simulations (CFD/CHT and FE) performed by calculation engineers
Prepare high quality 3D models, technical drawings and complete Bill of Materials (BOM) for components used in development projects, prototypes and test rigs
Collaborate closely with teams across R&D, engineering, manufacturing, assembly and commissioning to ensure robust, manufacturable and well-integrated component designs
Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards, methods and tools

YOUR PROFILE
Completed technical education (HTL, FH, Uni, or similar) in mechanical engineering
Relevant professional experience
Design and mechanical calculation knowledge in the field of large rotating electrical machines obligatory
Good knowledge in 3D CAD – preferably Software Siemens NX, PLM – Software Siemens Teamcenter and MS Office
Good command of German and English
Willingness to travel (5%)
Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
OUR OFFER
We are legally obliged to state the collective bargaining minimum salary for this position, which is gross € 3.616,50 per month. However, we offer a market-based salary depending on qualifications and professional experience in any case.
