This role works closely with the Business Segment COO and the leadership team to provide expertise and guidance in the areas of talent assessment and development, succession planning, organisational design, performance management, culture and change management. This position supports a global business of ~1,5bn € with 4500+ employees. The role operates in a matrix structure leading several Regional HR Business Partners and being accountable functionally for capability development and support of HR Site leads across over 30 manufacturing facilities.Your MissionStrategic HR Partnership & LeadershipAct as the senior HR partner to the Paper Bags Leadership Team, driving execution of Mondi's global HR strategy in line with business priorities.Embed Mondi values and behaviours, enabling leaders to role-model the desired culture and ways of working.Contribute to business strategy discussions, providing a strong people and organisational perspective grounded in commercial understanding.Organisation, Talent & Leadership DevelopmentPartner with leaders to design and implement future-fit organisational structures, ensuring clarity, simplification and organisational effectiveness.Lead talent assessment, succession planning and development planning for critical roles and key talent across the segment.Coach and advise senior leaders to strengthen contemporary leadership capabilities and leadership team effectiveness.HR Delivery & Operating RhythmLead and coordinate core HR processes across the segment, including performance management, salary planning, workforce planning, employee engagement, development planning and DE&I.Partner closely with HR Centres of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent & D&I, Total Rewards, Programs & Analytics, HR Compliance) to deliver a cohesive and aligned HR agenda.People Leadership & HR CapabilityLead and develop Regional HR Business Partners, providing clear direction, coaching and performance feedback.Guide and support HR site leads, ensuring effective implementation of the global HR strategy and consistent HR standards.Continuously assess HR capability across sites and regions, closing gaps through targeted recruitment, development and coaching.Employee Relations & GovernanceProvide leadership on employee relations, including union and works council engagement, ensuring issues are handled effectively, transparently and in compliance with local regulations and Mondi policies.Ensure fair, consistent and compliant handling of all HR matters across countries.Collaboration & PresenceActively contribute as a member of the Extended Mondi HR Leadership Team, fostering collaboration and supporting enterprise-wide HR initiatives.Maintain strong connectivity with manufacturing sites through regular visits, ensuring deep understanding of local challenges and effective feedback loops.Your ProfileMaster's degree or equivalent; HR qualification is an advantage10–15 years of HR Business Partner experience in roles of increasing responsibilityAt least 5 years' experience leading HR teams, ideally in a matrixed, international environmentBroad HR expertise across workforce planning, talent management, organisational development, rewards, people operations, HR systems and analyticsExperience in manufacturing or processing environments, preferably Consumer Goods and/or PackagingProven ability to operate effectively in complex, multinational organisations, balancing global and local prioritiesStrong understanding of European labour markets, employment legislation and employee relations across multiple countriesStrong commercial acumen, including understanding of economic drivers, EBITDA and cash flowStrategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into pragmatic, actionable outcomesStrong influencing, coaching and relationship-building skills across all organisational levelsCulturally sensitive, resilient and comfortable operating in ambiguous and fast-changing environmentsFluent in English; German and/or another European language is an advantageWillingness to travel up to 50%Our OfferA senior, highly visible HR leadership role with direct impact on a global, manufacturing-led business segmentThe opportunity to contribute to shaping the people agenda for a complex organisation with significant scale and geographic reachExposure to executive leadership and participation in strategic decision-making at segment and group levelA values-driven, inclusive and sustainability-focused organisation with a strong commitment to leadership and capability developmentFlexible working arrangements within Europe, based at a Mondi locationCompetitive compensation and benefits aligned with the scope, leadership accountability and impact of the roleAccess to Mondi's learning platforms and development opportunitiesBenefits:Learning & DevelopmentGet in touch:We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
