Global Head of Supply Chain (m/f/d)
Primary location: Vienna (AT)
Purpose of the job
As a member of our Global Operations Team, your role is to define the Supply Chain strategy for the AGRANA Fruit division, within the context of AGRANA Group and our regions and local entities. The Head of Supply Chain leads and manages the execution of Supply Chain activities within the AGRANA Fruit division in line with the strategy (esp. IBP, S&OP, MRP, Warehouse & Logistics or specific projects & programmes). Your key responsibilities
Divisional (Global) Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Process Owner
* Define, manage and continuously improve the IBP process ensuring effective interfaces with Sales, Procurement & Finance
* Oversee the Demand Planning process, ensure the provision of long-, medium- and short-term forecasts and demand plans based on relevant insights
* Define, manage and continuously improve Operations planning processes aiming to ensure maximum customer service at optimal cost & working capital
* Lead Operational aspects of Portfolio management, product introduction & discontinuation to maximize service and minimize cost
Divisional (Global) Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Business Process Owner
* Ensure MRP (SAP) is set up and used effectively to drive all aspects of S&OP, IBP, warehouse & logistics management across 1st, 2nd & 3rd transformation
* Provide, consolidate & ensure compliance with relevant KPIs to drive continuous improvement
* Ensure decisions are made on the basis of reliable & consistent data as automatically as practical
Divisional (Global) Process Owner Totes
* Manage the global tote park to drive customer service at optimal cost - safe use & storage, effective & efficient cleaning, stock rotation vs shelf life, etc.,
* Drive continuous improvement of tote’s process (with other key stakeholders): quality, Maintenance and retirement, tracking & tote-turns.
* Propose CapEx required (5YP and annual budget) to ensure the correct number of totes to meet business demands
Warehousing & Logistics
* Ensure safe Material Handling practices in Warehouses, factories, etc. (including forklifts, reachtrucks, etc.,) and in our logistics networks.
* Develop and ensure implementation of guidelines for Good Warehousing Practice, & transport management
* Investigate and drive adoption (where successful) of new technology to improve efficiency & cost of warehousing & logistics
Operations Leadership & Strategy
* Monitor the effective use of and results from key SC processes globally, intervening to address through training, coaching & best practice sharing & adoption
* Ensure consistent and adequate staffing through talent management, succession planning, coaching & support
* Ensure a consistent and aligned culture within Operations throughout AGRANA Fruit
* Participate in development of AF strategy, e.g. Capacity Planning & network optimization, especially using LEAN tools and principles
Your ideal profile
* You have a university degree in relevant subject (e.g. SCM/Logistics, Operations, Food Tech/Sci) or equivalent experience
* You have deep knowledge and experience of IBP, S&OP and MRP (ideally SAP)
* You have experience and deep understanding of LEAN, its tools & approach
* You have a strong experience record of Operations leadership, including experience of multi-site/remote leadership
* You are highly organized with strong project management skills.
* You are fluent in spoken and written English - any additional language is a plus (e.g. French, German)
