Data Analyst / Statistician (Category II)
NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the preparation of a proposal for an EU-funded project in SEA Lot 6: Education Sector Public Expenditure Review (PER) in Greenland. The organization is seeking non-key experts to support the core team during project implementation.
The overall goal of the Education PER is to provide evidence-based recommendations for better fiscal management, efficient and effective use of public expenditures to support Greenland’s education sector, and improved service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct in-depth analysis of budget execution, fiscal policies, and financial oversight mechanisms.
* Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends in public spending and financial performance.
* Conduct variance analysis and support cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness assessments.
* Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity across various sources.
* Develop compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Collaborate with finance, education, and policy experts to support integrated analytical outputs.
* Contribute to the design and implementation of data collection strategies where needed.
* Prepare analytical reports, briefs, and data summaries for stakeholders and decision-makers.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
* Proficiency in English (C1); knowledge of Danish or Greenlandic is an asset.
* Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated expertise in data analysis, preferably in public finance, economics, or development sectors.
* Advanced proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools (e.g., R, Python, STATA, SPSS, Tableau, Power BI).
* Proven experience in handling large datasets and applying advanced statistical techniques.
* Strong knowledge of public sector data, fiscal indicators, or development finance is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in accessible formats.
* Experience working with government, development agencies, or international institutions.
* Familiarity with open data standards, GIS, or machine learning tools is a plus.
* Publication or authorship of relevant analytical reports or dashboards.
