Frequentis Group, headquartered in Vienna, is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. We serve over 500 customers across 150 countries with more than 45,000 workstations.
As a Software Asset Manager (all genders) within Group IT, you will manage and optimize internal software assets, ensure correct licensing, identify optimization potential, and oversee software releases and processes for software allocation in 2nd level support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and optimize all internal software assets, monitor license inventories and contracts.
* Ensure compliance with legal licensing requirements.
* Identify opportunities to improve software landscape and licensing strategies.
* Evaluate new software needs for economic and operational relevance.
* Oversee governance of software releases and define related processes.
* Utilize and maintain software asset management tools for license monitoring, budgeting, and contract renewals.
* Collaborate with the IT Subsidiary Care team to support global subsidiaries on strategic IT issues.
* Communicate with decision-makers within the group and subsidiaries to align IT infrastructure with global requirements.
Qualifications:
* Degree or comparable training in IT, business informatics, or related fields.
* Several years of experience in software asset management or related areas.
* Understanding of IT processes, license models, and budgeting.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to balance software needs with business goals.
* Experience with software asset management tools and Microsoft/cloud solutions.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Experience in process design and optimization, especially related to software release.
* Fluent in German and English.
