Your territory
As part of our Firmware team, you will:
* Develop world-class firmware for a global pet tech market leader, with a dedicated focus on GNSS technologies such as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and BeiDou
* Take end-to-end responsibility for features - from complex concept development to seamless real-world performance
* Analyze and refine code to improve key metrics like power consumption, positioning accuracy, and data efficiency
* Partner with our in-house Architects to prepare and implement new firmware features
* Collaborate closely with Backend, Tech Support, and QA teams, while independently driving your projects forward
* Participate in retrospectives and continuously improve our development processes
* Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better - you'll never hear the phrase "...because that's how we've always done things"
* Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level
Your profile
Key requirements:
* 4+ years of hands-on experience in firmware development, with proven expertise in GNSS systems (e.g. signal acquisition, aiding data, power-saving techniques)
* Deep understanding of GNSS principles, protocols, and standards.
* Hands-on experience with GNSS chipsets and modules
* Extensive experience in firmware development, with a strong focus on GNSS systems
* Experience with version control tools and best practices like Clean Code and Unit Testing
* Track record in larger firmware projects, ideally within SCRUM-based, cross-functional teams
* Very good English skills
