This innovative organisation is seeking an experienced IT Lead to drive strategic IT initiatives, oversee cybersecurity and compliance efforts, and support the development of cutting-edge infrastructure to enable clinical and research excellence.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Plan, manage, and execute IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
* Collaborate with IT, Data Science, Bioinformatics, and Laboratory teams to meet internal project needs, including data storage and processing infrastructure.
* Support strategic IT planning, budget oversight, vendor management, and IT policy development in coordination with the Data Unit Lead.
* Design and implement cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance with the highest security standards.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with NIS-2 regulations.
* Lead IT-related efforts to achieve ISO 15189 certification and support the transition toward operating as a medical diagnostic laboratory.
* Drive the long-term objective of achieving ISO 27001 certification.
* Develop the framework necessary for medical device certification of selected internal products, including software and infrastructure validation.
* Coordinate and participate in managing the IT team, ensuring task delegation and operational efficiency.
* Provide second and third-level support for IT administration and technical issues.
* Act as a bridge between data scientists, bioinformaticians, and IT staff to deliver practical solutions for clinical and biomedical research applications.
* Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to automate internal processes.
* Design and deliver IT and cybersecurity training sessions for employees.
* Communicate IT and cybersecurity requirements, initiatives, and progress across teams and to management.
* Promote adherence to cybersecurity best practices across personnel and processes.
* Drive initiatives for comprehensive, practical documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
* Take ownership of existing IT SOPs, ensuring they remain up-to-date and effective.
* Identify gaps in the SOP framework and develop missing documentation in collaboration with the IT team.
* Oversee and contribute to internal IT work instruction documentation.
Expected Skills and Qualifications:
* MSc in an IT-related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT.
* At least 3 years of experience in IT leadership roles.
* Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration.
* Strong knowledge of server and network infrastructure.
* Demonstrated success in improving cybersecurity in previous roles.
* Experience working in ISO-certified environments, ideally having contributed to certification processes.

* A pragmatic mindset focused on finding practical, long-term solutions.
* Appreciation for clear and effective documentation.
