The Danube Commission, an international organisation based in Budapest, is looking for a Senior Technical Expert to become vacant in the Danube Commission Secretariat as of 1 July 2027. The selection process will take place between June and December 2026. The call is directed at a dynamic senior inland navigation expert, with extensive professional expertise in one of the five technical areas of activity of the Danube Commission as well as a high degree of initiative and teamwork spirit: Hydrotechnical and hydrometeorological matters Nautical matters Professional qualifications, vessel crew qualification, education and training matters Inland navigation vessels (technical matters) Inland waterway transport, port development and environmental matters A good command of written and spoken English and knowledge of one of the official languages of the Danube Commission is obligatory.
