We're now looking for a
PR & Storytelling Specialist
to strengthen our media presence and shape how the world sees WeAreDevelopers.
This role is for a communications professional who thrives at the intersection of
press relations, copywriting, and strategic storytelling.
You'll build and manage media relationships, secure partnerships with leading outlets, and pitch stories that matter. You'll also create clear, compelling copy for our products, industries, and partners — always with an eye on positioning WeAreDevelopers as the global platform for developers.
What you'll do
Media Relations & PR
* Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, and media partners.
* Invite and host journalists at our flagship events and conferences.
* Pitch stories, thought leadership, and company news to relevant media outlets.
* Draft and distribute press releases, statements, and media kits.
* Handle incoming media enquiries with professionalism and speed.
* Source and curate panel discussions, roundtables, and media opportunities — especially around events.
* Secure and manage year-round media partnerships.
Copywriting & Storytelling
* Write clear, engaging copy for product and solution pages, tailored to industries and verticals.
* Develop compelling case studies, B2B narratives, and customer success stories.
* Create story-driven assets for marketing and sales teams.
* Ensure brand voice and messaging are consistent across all channels.
What you bring
* 3–5 years
in communications, PR, or media relations (tech/events experience a plus).
- Proven ability to pitch and secure media coverage in relevant outlets.
- Outstanding copywriting skills in both German and English
— from press releases to product pages
- Strong sense of storytelling: can turn company activities into newsworthy stories.
- Experience managing media partnerships and journalist engagement.
- Comfortable working independently and proactively suggesting new story angles.
- Bonus: Experience in B2B tech, AI, or developer-focused communications.

Remuneration
The collective agreement minimum salary (KV Werbung & Marktkommunikation) for this role is € 43,978.20 per year. A higher salary is possible depending on qualifications and experience.
