Your role in the team
* Redesign and modernization of our existing core application based on
* Design of a scalable, future-proof "Cloud first" architecture for the core of our product.
* Development and maintenance of modular backend components with and JavaScript/TypeScript.
* Integration of third-party services and devices, e.g., via REST or GraphQL APIs and hardware-near USB/RS232 interfaces.
* Implementation and optimization of interfaces to external databases (e.g., Azure CosmosDB, PostgreSQL) and cloud environments (Azure).
* Ensuring code quality and performance through testing, code reviews, and best practices.
* Close collaboration with our Cloud, DevOps, and Product Management teams.
Our expectations of you
Qualifications
* Solid knowledge of software architecture and system design, API design, databases, ideally microservices & cloud architectures.
* Basic knowledge of CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
* Analytical thinking, sense of responsibility, willingness to shape, and high willingness to learn.
* Very good English skills (C1) required; German language skills are an advantage.
* Independent, structured working style and high team orientation.
Qualifications
* Several years of experience in backend development with as well as very good knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
* Ideally, experience with frameworks such as, Fastify, or NestJS.
