Big Data Administrator
We are seeking a seasoned Big Data expert to join our dynamic team in Vienna. As a Big Data Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data-driven strategies and technologies.
Your Responsibilities:
* Manage and optimize the Big Data environment based on Apache Hadoop in the AWS Cloud.
* Deploy and maintain services like Kafka, Flink, NiFi, DynamoDB, and Iceberg Tables.
* Utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) for seamless deployment.
* Plan and execute updates and upgrades with precision.
* Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to select suitable Hadoop services for business use cases.
* Provide third-level support through error analysis and troubleshooting.
* Contribute to workload optimization by fine-tuning queries.
* Evaluate and implement cloud-native services to enhance performance.
Requirements:
* Technical degree or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in system administration of Linux systems, especially RedHat.
* Solid understanding of setting up and operating Big Data environments based on Apache Hadoop.
