At our Vienna location, we manage our international activities and are looking for a dedicated and experienced Structural Design Engineer to strengthen our team.
Position Overview
The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for managing the technical design and production drawings for modular construction projects. This role plays a critical part in translating design concepts into precise, executable plans. The engineer will coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring quality and accuracy of all technical drawings, and ensuring they comply with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage technical designs and production drawings, ensuring accurate representation of structural concepts for construction.
* Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure the quality and precision of all drawings, adhering to project specifications.
* Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
* Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to integrate structural designs with architectural and mechanical plans.
* Assist with the preparation of production documents, such as calculation reports and material specifications.
* Participate in design reviews and offer technical solutions to resolve any design or production issues.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design standards and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance in all structural projects.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Professional certification as a Structural Engineer is a plus.
Experience:
* 3+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on technical design and production drawings.
* Experience with modular construction techniques is highly advantageous.
* Proven experience in managing technical drawings for various types of building projects.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in structural design and drafting software (e.g., Revit, Tekla Structures).
* Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to structural design and production drawings.
* Experience working with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools to generate accurate production models.
Soft Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
* Effective communication skills for coordinating with teams and subcontractors.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Other Requirements:
* Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
