Tasks
* You are accountable for the technical, commercial and regulatory performance of the Austrian's fleet, ensuring safety, reliability and cost efficiency in line with Lufthansa Group objectives
* You lead and develop the technical division with responsibility for :800 employees
* You manage a €360m budget, ensuring transparency, cost control, and performance steering
* You act as Nominated Postholder Continuing Airworthiness, ensuring compliance and serving as interface to authorities
* You are Accountable Manager for Line Maintenance Services and Technical Training
* You implement and evolve LHG technical standards and processes, balancing Group and local requirements
* You steer maintenance planning, MRO demand and long-term overhauls with internal & external partners
* You lead a quality management framework, ensuring audit readiness and continuous improvement
* You represent Austrian as a technical leader within LHG, contributing to strategy, transformation & innovation
* You foster a culture of accountability, performance and continuous development in a safety-critical environment

Requirements
We are seeking a visionary leader who thrives in a complex, safety-critical environment, navigates challenges confidently, and shapes the future of Austrian's operations with strategic insight and hands-on execution.
* You bring a university degree in engineering, business, or a comparable field
* You have extensive leadership experience in an airline, OEM or MRO environment, ideally within a large aviation group
* You demonstrate deep technical expertise, combined with strong business acumen and system-level thinking
* You have a proven track record in fleet management, continuing airworthiness and maintenance governance
* You are experienced in managing large organizations, complex budgets and cross-functional interfaces
* You combine resilience, decisiveness and strategic foresight with strong stakeholder influence
* You communicate confidently at executive level and across cultures
* You have strong written and spoken skills in both German and English
* You have unrestricted access to the Austrian labor market
