Senior Software Engineer for our OneAgent team (m/f/x)
Join Dynatrace as a Senior Software Engineer on the OneAgent team. The OneAgent is a key component of our product, enabling monitoring of mission‑critical applications across more than 11 million customer environments and a variety of technologies while maintaining minimal performance impact.
Responsibilities
Design and implement new features and sensors for the OneAgent, securely and efficiently gathering critical data from customer environments.
Research and learn about language runtimes, intermediary language execution, bytecode manipulation and profiling.
Cooperate with local and international development teams to deliver high‑quality code.
Perform deep analysis of common frameworks through debugging and interrogation.
Investigate and resolve customer issues, bugs and performance improvements.
Focus on memory management, concurrency, performance tuning and native interoperability.

Team player with strong communication skills.
Several years of experience as a senior software engineer.
Curiosity about various programming languages & technologies.
Striving for reliable, highly optimised code while maintaining readability.
Adaptive mindset to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Nice‑to‑Haves
Familiarity with managed programming languages (Java, C#, etc.).
Experience with core dump analysis.
Knowledge of IL execution and runtime instrumentation.
Experience developing or using performance profiling tools.
Experience with mixed‑mode applications (native + managed).
Enjoys reverse engineering or exploring obscure runtime behaviours.
