EU Project Dissemination & Communication Manager (f/m/x) – The European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR)
The European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR) is a non‑profit organization dedicated to coordinating and facilitating research activities in biomedical imaging. EIBIR supports scientists by assisting with calls for proposals, providing project management, dissemination, training services, and facilitating networking among the biomedical imaging research community. We are seeking a full‑time (38.5h) EU Project Dissemination & Communication Manager to lead outreach, visibility, and stakeholder engagement activities for EU‑funded flagship research projects and for EIBIR.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement dissemination and communication strategies for European research projects in biomedical imaging.
* Plan and execute communication and PR activities to promote EIBIR’s visibility (websites, newsletters, press work, social media) and share achievements with key audiences.
* Manage project branding and coordinate production of dissemination materials, videos, infographics, and digital content.
* Organize and support EIBIR’s presence at congresses and outreach events such as workshops, webinars, conferences, and exhibitions.
* Establish and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders, and media to ensure consistent messaging and visibility.
* Monitor and report on dissemination and communication KPIs and impact metrics.
Qualifications
* Excellent command of English (C1 or higher); additional EU languages are a plus.
* At least 3 years of experience in science communication, PR, journalism, or as communication and dissemination manager of EU‑funded projects (ideally in health or digital).
* Strong understanding of digital communication tools and platforms.
* Experience with industry standard design software.
* Experience with WordPress websites (Elementor).
* Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into accessible content.
* Experience with stakeholder engagement and event coordination.
* Ability to work independently, proactively, and collaborate with professionals from various disciplines.
* Adaptability to changing project requirements and challenges.
* Willingness to work in a team and to travel to project meetings occasionally.

Applicants must hold a valid work permit for Austria and must be willing and able to commute to our office in Vienna on a regular basis. The monthly gross salary for this position is at least €2,900 (14 times per year); higher salary is possible based on relevant experience and qualifications.
