As Head of Infrastructure & Operations, you hold overall responsibility for a stable, secure, and future-proof IT operation at KTM. You lead several teams with different operational focuses and actively shape the further development of our IT services, operating models, and partner landscape. In addition to a “state-of-the-art” technological orientation, your focus is on the continuous development of the organization, processes, and people. In your role, you act as a strategic sparring partner for IT management and relevant business stakeholders, ensuring a reliable and high-performing IT operation.
THE TASKS AWAITING YOU
1. Overall responsibility for IT Infrastructure & Operations, including ensuring a stable, secure, and high-performing IT environment
2. Leadership, development, and prioritization of multiple teams with a total of approx. 25–30 employees (including operational units such as SD and DWS)
3. Definition, management, and continuous improvement of operating models, processes, and organizational structures within the infrastructure and operations environment
4. Responsibility for KPI and SLA management, as well as continuous optimization of quality, cost, and performance in IT operations
5. Vendor and contract management for external service providers, including governance, escalation handling, and performance monitoring
6. Budget responsibility for IT Infrastructure & Operations topics, ensuring efficient use of resources
7. Close alignment and strategic sparring with Vice Presidents, Heads of Departments, and internal customers
8. Active contribution to shaping the IT strategy and implementing company-wide IT and security standards
HOW YOU CAN INSPIRE US
9. Completed education with a focus on IT, IT management, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
10. Several years of professional and leadership experience in IT Infrastructure and/or Operations
11. Solid experience in managing operational IT units, service providers, and complex IT operating structures
12. Experience with KPI, SLA, and provider management, as well as budget and contract responsibility
13. Ability to make clear decisions even in complex or uncertain situations and consistently follow through
14. Strong communication and organizational skills, along with strategic thinking capabilities
15. Proactive and structured way of working, combined with strong social and intercultural competence
16. Passion for modern IT organizations, team development, and sustainable operating models
