Shift Pattern
The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 4.30 pm (pro-rata). Please note the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.

This post is based within the Barrhead team at Barrhead Council Offices but may involve working at various locations and supporting the Eastwood team.
Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Health Visiting service within the Children and Families service in East Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership.
Role Responsibilities
1. The Health Visitor is an autonomous practitioner practicing within the legal and ethical framework of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and national legislation.
2. Overall responsibility for supervising and managing a health visiting caseload, ensuring quality care through assessment, referral, communication, and evidence-based interventions.
3. Delegation and review of work undertaken by team members.
4. Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to address public health needs and implement health improvement strategies.
5. Provide advice, health promotion, education, psycho-social interventions, and immunisations.
6. Handle high-level interventions for issues such as child protection, domestic abuse, addictions, peri-natal illness, and children with disabilities or life-limiting illnesses.
7. Support and provide reciprocal cover for other caseloads to ensure continuous service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
* Current registration as a Nurse with the NMC.
* Qualification in Health Visiting or Public Health Nursing.
* Strong communication, leadership, and flexible problem-solving skills.
