Business Process Owner (BPO) – Ordering Process for Systems – ABB Robotics (Flexible Worldwide)
Position within ABB’s Robotics business, part of the Commercial and Pricing Excellence team. Reporting to the Commercial & Pricing Processes and Tools Manager.
Overview
Design and govern the global end-to-end order creation process for robotic systems, cells, and engineered solutions, ensuring alignment with quotations, project execution, and financial control.
Responsibilities
* Define and maintain the global system order creation process, establish governance, coordinate rollout, maintain documentation, and drive continuous improvement.
* Design a clear workflow for system order creation, ensuring order structures mirror quotations and align with project management structures.
* Support the design and enhancement of the order‑creation environment in S/4HANA and connected front‑end tools, ensuring alignment with the global process.
* Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal to ensure order structures support robust project execution.
* Define standards for order accuracy, completeness, and structure, including approval flows, quality gates, and data requirements.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in engineered‑to‑order, automation systems, project execution, or similar complex delivery environments.
* In‑depth understanding of how quotations, orders, BOM structures, and WBS/project structures must align for efficient project execution.
* Working knowledge of S/4HANA or SAP ECC order management, project systems (PS), or related ERP modules.
* Experience collaborating with project managers, engineering teams, supply chain, and other domain experts; strong stakeholder management skills across regions and cross‑functional teams.
* Proficient process‑design and governance skills with experience in documentation, training, and global roll‑out.
* Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages.
