Working hours: 20–30 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Duration: 3 months, Mid-January – Mid-April 2026
brut Wien, a renowned venue for contemporary performing arts in Vienna, is looking for an Erasmus+ intern to join the PR & Communications department. This internship offers valuable insights into the workings of an international cultural institution, with a focus on supporting the imagetanz festival in March 2026.
MainTasks
Support the PR & Communications department for the festival with
* preparing photos for the website and webshop
* manage the imagetanz Spotify playlists
* research media for specific performances and topics
* visit photo rehearsals of the performances
* prepare the venues ahead of events
* proof-read press material, newsletters and mailings
* write short pr texts for advertisement
* manage the event calendars
* maintain the internal data base for the performances
* documentation of out of home advertisement, banners, printed material, etc.
Requirements & Skills
* Languages: Working language at brut Wien is German; basic knowledge of German is sufficient. Excellent written and spoken English is required.
* Computer programmes: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is required; basic knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is a plus.
* Interest in art and culture, particularly theatre, dance and performance
* Enjoyment of watching rehearsals and performances
* Reliable, well-organized, and motivated
* Willingness to support both office and on-site tasks

Venues:
imagetanz is a month-long annual contemporary dance and performance festival organised by brut Wien, a renowned performance art venue in Vienna, Austria. Taking place each spring, the festival presents innovative works by mainly emerging but also established artists from Austria and abroad. imagetanz focuses on experimental and interdisciplinary performances, providing a platform for new choreographic ideas, artistic collaborations, and critical dialogue around contemporary body practices and performance art.
