About the Role
Join our team as a Nurse Manager - Community Residential Withdrawal Unit (CRWU), to work within The Monash Health Drug & Alcohol Service (MHDAS), part of the Mental Health Program.
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm, based at 165-167 Cleeland Street, Dandenong. The role requires travel between Monash Health sites.
The incumbent will provide senior clinical and operational leadership, mentoring, and role modeling to the CRWU, focusing on developing evidence-based models and systems of care, research, evaluation programs, and monitoring outcomes and clinical KPIs.
The Nurse Manager, along with the Consultant Psychiatrist, is responsible for the clinical governance of the unit, while the Unit Head and the Director of Clinical Operations provide overall governance in partnership. The Nurse Manager reports to these lead positions regarding clinical and operational activities.

Employing multidisciplinary clinicians, including Peer Workers with lived experience, the service employs approximately 75 EFT staff with a budget of around $7 million. We provide a wide range of services including:
* Community Residential Withdrawal
* Primary Health Clinic
* Needle Syringe Program - fixed site, outreach, and syringe dispensing machines
* Mobile Overdose Response & Mobile Drug Safety
* Youth Supported Accommodation and Outreach
* Peer-Led Network trials
* Assessment, Counseling, and Non-residential Withdrawal
About You
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

* Knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and relevant legislation

* Effective time management and workload organization
* Knowledge of the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce 2013
Mandatory Requirements
* Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA
* Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years full-time postgraduate mental health nursing experience
* Postgraduate studies in Alcohol and Other Drugs
