Responsibilities
Your main tasks in this role are:
As a (Senior) Legal Counsel in the Labor Law Team you will provide legal advice addressing all labor law matters for the ALDI SÜD HOLDING
With a deep understanding of Austrian or German labor law, you will tailor your advice to the operational needs on day-to-day topics and strategic considerations of a leading multinational discount retailer
You drive all collective labor law topics, including the relationship with the works council and works council agreements
You review and draft labor law related guidelines, templates, agreements and other relevant documentation
You prepare court cases, lead out-of-court negotiations (e.g. with chamber of labor), and litigate before courts
You advise on and lead international labor law projects across ALDI SÜD Group
You conduct internal labor law training sessions
Where required, you will manage outside legal counsel
Profile
The requirements of the role include:
You have completed an Austrian or German legal university degree; an Austrian or German bar exam as well as an additional international Master of Laws are a plus
You have at least 3-5 years of Post‑Qualification Experience in a law firm and/or in‑house and your proven track record includes advising multinational companies
You feel excited about labor law, and you are eager to engage on all levels to take the topic forward
You have excellent communication skills, and you are business fluent in English and German
You possess an international mindset, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to tailor your advice to all employee and management levels
An independent, 'hands‑on', and proactive work style with a high level of intrinsic motivation is a matter of course for you
You like to take a strategic perspective to see the bigger picture
You can prioritize workload and drive deadline‑driven tasks to completion

Remuneration
Gross annual salary starting from € 62.500*
Willingness to overpay with appropriate qualifications
