Responsibilities
- Managing estimating from plans through to submission
- Reviewing drawings, specs, and scopes for commercial & Residential carpentry projects
- Pricing work with a strong focus on profitability and risk
- Managing inbound opportunities and tender pipeline
- Building relationships with builders, developers, and key clients
- Identifying which projects to pursue vs walk away from
- Working directly with the owner to drive growth
You are not just quoting jobs you are helping shape the direction and revenue of the business.
Qualifications
- Proven experience estimating in construction (commercial & Residential MUST)
- Strong understanding of costing, margins, and project risk
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications confidently
- Commercial mindset not just trying to win every job
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Self‑driven and comfortable taking ownership
- Bonus: Experience in carpentry, cladding, or structural works
- Bonus: Existing relationships with builders in SEQ
