Job Description
This role is within the Building Consultancy department, providing a broad range of professional building consultancy services for investor and corporate clients in Vienna and across EMEA, from single assets to large portfolios and platform deals.
The candidate will be involved in technical due diligence audits for investment and occupancy purposes, refurbishment works, maintenance advice, and monitoring instructions related to real estate financing.
1. Assist in delivering professional building consultancy advice focused on technical installations, including technical due diligence instructions.
2. Assess real estate based on data room reviews and site visits.
3. Evaluate building systems such as heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, and plumbing, reporting significant defects, non-compliances, maintenance backlogs, and other issues with recommendations.
4. Ensure compliance with current and future regulations, including statutory approvals and fire safety.
5. Consider sustainability aspects in assessments.
6. Contribute to detailed reports, minutes, and cost estimates for necessary actions to maintain or remediate assets.
7. Clients include national and international key accounts in office, logistics, residential, retail, and hotel sectors.
The main deliverables are in English.
Qualifications
* Engineer, Building Surveyor, or Project Manager with experience in construction or facilities management.
* At least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written); professional German language skills required.
* Knowledge of building techniques, technical equipment, fire, and safety regulations.
* Autonomous, rigorous, organized, with analytical and drafting skills.
* Professional demeanor with business acumen.
* Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
* Driving license required.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work under pressure on short-term projects.
* Organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
* Clear and concise written communication.
* Self-management skills.
* Attention to detail, confidence, and assertiveness when needed.
* Flexible approach to work and willingness to travel as required.
