About You
You're an experienced hire desk professional who understands how construction sites operate. You communicate confidently, ask the right questions, and take pride in accuracy. You're commercially aware, highly organized, and able to juggle competing priorities while exercising sound judgment. Autonomy, professionalism, and follow‑through come naturally.
What You Bring
* 3 to 5+ years experience in earthmoving or construction equipment hire
* Strong knowledge of heavy equipment, attachments, and site applications
* Experience handling complex or high‑value hire scenarios
* High attention to detail in quotations, contracts, and billing inputs
* Confidence using rental management systems, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office
* Clear, professional communication skills
About the Role
This role goes beyond taking bookings. You will exercise judgement, provide expert advice, resolve escalations, and ensure every hire is set up correctly from a commercial, operational, and safety perspective. * Act as a senior point of contact for complex and high‑value hire enquiries, providing confident, practical equipment advice
* Prepare accurate quotations and hire agreements, including non‑standard and multi‑machine hire scenarios
* Manage escalated customer issues with sound judgement, professionalism, and a solutions‑focused approach
* Coordinate deliveries, changeovers, and off‑hires with logistics, transport, and service teams
* Maintain accurate system records to support correct billing, reporting, and fleet utilisation
* Support fleet allocation and equipment readiness through close liaison with maintenance teams
* Build strong relationships with key customers while identifying additional hire opportunities and capturing market insights
